What Can I Do in Thailand?

Thailand is a large country and everywhere offers something different. It depends on what kind of holiday you are looking for.

The bustling city of Bangkok is an explosion of the senses - sights tastes and smells as local street vendors sell street food and the river, canals and floating markets bustle with life.

In the north of the country, luscious forests roll down the mountain to the paddy fields below. Visit the cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to experience the slower pace of life in this area of the country.

To the south of the country, the beach resorts take over combining temples and stunning seascapes. Phuket is the busiest of the beach areas, with amazing beaches and 'happening' restaurants and beach bars. Khao Lak is more restrained, yet only just over an hour from Phuket. Koh Samui is a typical postcard island with beaches fringed by palm trees and rainforests. Krabi is famous for its stunning landscapes which have been made famous in films such as The Beach.

It depends on where you want to go. Most areas of Thailand have a range of accommodation from hostels popular with travellers to 4 and 5* hotels.

How Do I Get There?

There are two international airports in Thailand that you can fly directly to from the UK, Bangkok and Phuket. There are lots of other airports so you will able to change at Bangkok and go from there. You can fly to Bangkok from London Heathrow and to Phuket from Manchester, Heathrow and Gatwick.
