Florida Holidays

Home to gorgeous beaches, world-famous theme parks and bustling cities, Florida is a very popular choice for a holiday in the USA. It is called the sunshine state for a reason and has excellent weather for most of the year. 

What Can I Do There? 

Florida has so much to see and do. Orlando is perfect for thrill-seekers and families as it is the home to many theme parks such as Universal Studios (At which you can see Harry Potter World - Above), Disney, SeaWorld and much more. There are beaches aplenty at places such as Key West, Fort Lauderdale and Daytona Beach. Miami is the most well-known city in the state. It is a cultural melting pot heavily influenced by Latin cultures from the Caribbean. It is known for its great food, diverse art scene and sports culture. 

Florida is also home to Cape Canaveral, the launch point of many NASA missions. Here is the Kennedy Space Center where you can learn all about space missions and see the rockets themselves. The Florida Keys are another popular attraction. This marshland is home to many different wildlife species and you can take tours in hovercraft around them.

Where Should I Stay?

There are excellent facilities wherever you want to go in Florida. If you're going to Orlando you can stay in the theme parks or on International Drive which is nearby to all of them. If you're going to Miami, popular spots are South Beach or Wynwood but these can be more expensive. More quiet places can be North Beach or Coral Gables.

These are just for the main tourist places, as we said earlier Florida is brilliantly accommodating to tourism and has all the facilities you could need wherever you want to go. 

How Do I Get There? 

Florida has a number of international airports including Miami, Orlando and Tampa. You can fly direct to Florida from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester (Destination depends on where you can fly from)
